balltummytimequinn.jpg

Support your baby’s development through touch, movement and face-to-face interaction!

Join us once a week for this 4 week series from December 3 to December 23 2021

We gather on zoom each week on Friday from 10-11:15am.

You will learn ways to enhance your baby’s motor development as well as social, emotional and cognitive growth. You will learn how you can stimulate early brain mapping and apply hands on techniques for supporting babies development. This class is a great opportunity to learn, be more empowered as a new parent, and meet other parents and their babies online. Come prepared to move with your baby and have fun!

6 weeks to pre/crawling.

The Themes for this engaging 4 week series are:

  1. Temperaments: what are we born with and what is a product of our environment? Come learn about the 3 basic temperaments and how you can support each of them.

  2. Toilet learning: how to help your baby learn about what comes out the other end~! The good new is you can start now with a routine to slowly support the learning of their interoceptive system.

  3. The dance of separation and re connection: attachment is a series of coming together and going apart from each other, a quick trip to the store, some time with dad, grandma takes care of you, a nanny comes over for a few hours, you spend some time in daycare. These separations can be challenging, we talk about what that means to a baby and how to ease the transitions.

  4. Cultivating social emotional intelligence: Emotional intelligence is twice as strong a predictor of later successes academically, socially and in romantic relationships. Join us and learn how you can support your baby or young child with their feelings early on, so they can learn resilience and confidence over time to navigate life's challenges and obstacles as they grow.

Roll Baby Roll 7

4 Week Class Thursday November 26th to December 17 from 10am to 11am

In this 4 week series you will learn:

Exercises that support connecting and playing with your babies while supporting their motor, cognitive and social/emotional development, as well as a theme each week exploring different topics related to parenting.

Class 1: Making Repair: Conflict and making mistakes is part of the parenting journey. What do we do when we act in ways that hurt, silence or scare our child? How do we come back into connection and make repair for the rupture.

The most important words in any relationship: 'I love you. I hear you. I'm sorry. What can I do to make this right?'”

Class 2:1.     The dance of separation: why separation is hard for children and how to help them with it as they grow.

Class 3: Responding to Tantrums: Meltdowns are an expected part of toddler hood. All toddlers/preschoolers experience them at some point. How can we respond to them with empathy and support them through it?

Class 4: Encouragement vs. Praise: We live in a culture where praise is commonplace and often expected, “good job”, “you’re such a good boy”. The essence of us wanting to praise our children for doing something well is natural and normal. However, children can become externally motivated to receive our accolades or rewards and lose touch with their internal motivation and life’s interests when the praise stops coming. Come learn how to support them through encouragement so they can develop and nurture their own desires in life with passion!

“Bonnie’s presentation brings awareness to all that our society needs to return to the connected village in support of the parent/child attachment. She shares clear scientific research on brain development which sheds light on the infant experience through a consistent, caring, and loving primary caregiver linking this directing to how the infant will thrive and be positively influenced for future success in life. I walked out feeling empowered, and emotionally ready to embrace my responsibility to consciously parent with heart. Thank you for creating such a strong awareness of what an infant needs and deserves. I would definitely recommend this seminar.
